Re-designing case management
I helped redesign Change Grow Live's 17-year-old, restrictive case management tool. Shifting the focus from data gathering to person-centered care, the project re-introduced paper conversational guides and used rapid prototyping. The new interface received CEO praise and over 90% positive staff feedback.

Simplifying self-referral forms
I collaborated with the Change Grow Live product team to simplify their complex self-referral forms. By reducing, rephrasing, and clarifying questions, and redesigning the layout and controls using prototyping, we achieved an 80% faster completion time and a 34% increase in successful referrals.

Core Web Platform
I helped the University of Cambridge undertake a web estate optimisation initiative: mapping and inventorying over 1,500 websites for rationalisation; developing a new, scalable design system for unified and accessible user experience; providing testing and feedback for a new centralised platform; and consulting on a consistent, component-based content authoring model.

Cross-Government Data Ecosystem
I led prototyping for the CDDO cross-government data catalogue. My dual-track approach — Figma for design, GOV.UK Prototyping Kit for function — used realistic metadata to validate that standardised metadata could convey data quality and lineage. This successful prototyping justified a full project, demonstrating the value of a centralised data ecosystem projected to save significant staff time and reduce public spending on manual data discovery.

I led discovery and definition phases for UCL's digital transformation. I conducted extensive stakeholder interviews, qualitative user research, and quantitative testing (Top Tasks, Tree Tests) to gather requirements, define pain points, and validate information architecture. Key outputs included actionable design principles, user stories, and an evidence-based recommendations roadmap.

Local Government Cyber Health Framework
I developed a prototype framework for MHCLG to help Local Authorities assess and improve their cyber health by simplifying navigation and action against multiple existing cyber standards into a single, cohesive tool.

The National Leadership Centre was a Cabinet Office programme designed to foster a network of support and collaboration among senior public sector leaders. I led the design process for the digital services supporting this aim through the discovery, alpha, and private beta phases.

Website Discovery
I conducted comprehensive user research for the Crown Prosecution Service website to understand user needs and how the site meets them, involving diverse user groups including victims, witnesses, and police. The project provided the CPS digital team with clarity and direction for future development.

Digital Recruitment Service
I led the design of the Judicial Appointments Commission's new digital recruitment service. My work included service mapping, user research, service design, prototyping, and creating a prioritisation framework. The project delivered a more efficient, reliable, and user-centred recruitment process, enabling the JAC to save over £500,000 and process over 2,500 applications in the first year.
