Website Discovery
I conducted comprehensive user research for the Crown Prosecution Service website to understand user needs and how the site meets them, involving diverse user groups including victims, witnesses, and police. The project provided the CPS digital team with clarity and direction for future development.
The challenge
The CPS aimed to improve their website by gaining a deeper understanding of its users, their specific needs, and the overall role the CPS website played in their user journeys.
My role
I was responsible for initiating and executing the research project. This included:
- Performing stakeholder interviews and developing the project brief
- Conducting user research with a variety of users: victims of crime, witnesses, victim support workers, and police officers
- Leading a collaborative analysis and synthesis process with the CPS digital team
Impact
The research delivered significant value, exceeding stakeholder expectations and providing the project team with much greater clarity about the strategic direction for the website project. The collaborative analysis ensured that the research findings were successfully integrated into the CPS digital team's knowledge base.
